Anonymous User Authentication

For robust security, we use Firebase Authentication's anonymous sign-in feature for unauthenticated users. This service creates a temporary, anonymous account for your session and assigns it a unique identifier (UID). This identifier does not contain any personal information, but it allows our system to validate legitimate web traffic. This data is stored locally in your browser and is processed by Google.

Logging

Pigmint maintains logs on user activity, system health, and security.

Here is what is tracked:

Errors. Any errors that arise from requests made from our website are logged in Google Cloud Logging. This is to identify issues and troubleshoot errors. Data that is logged include:
- IP address of the source client
- Timestamp of the activity
- Details of the error message
Page Views. We track anonymized hits for main pages. This only tracks a timestamp for each view; no user data is stored.

Third-Party Cookies

Third-party cookies may be used for security and authorization, specifically for our embedded YouTube videos. Most embedded widgets will require the use of third-party cookies for security and authorization (which cannot be declined). We are not responsible the privacy practices of third parties.

We will request user consent for third-party cookies not strictly related to security and authorization.
